Janja is a BBS lecturer.
Janja Božič Marolt is the founder of firms for market and media research as well as marketing consulting in the region. She is Director of Mediana, an institute of market and media research in Slovenia, and President of the Management Board of Mediana in Croatia, Serbia and Albania.
In 1992 she co-founded Mediana, an institute for market research. Between 1993 and 1999 she was President of the Supervisory Board of SOZ (the Slovenian advertising chamber). She had been a member of EMRO since 1999. In 2005 Janja became the ESOMAR representative for Slovenia. In 2000 she founded a partner company for marketing research and consulting, Mediana Fides, in Croatia. A similar company was founded in 2007 in Serbia – Mediana Adria and Albania. She is also an elected member of the Advertising Arbitration Court.
Janja regularly publishes articles on the media, marketing research and media planning. She gives advice on how to plan communication, advertising and brand development strategies. She occasionally gives lectures at marketing conferences and seminars. She has been the president of the competition jury and programming director of the Media Meeting. She frequently participates in agenda setting for SEMPL, a seminar on media planning.
Due to her successful activities in advertising and marketing research she was named marketing personality of the year 2001.
