Suzana Panova Nikiforova

Lecturer / University American College in Skopje, Macedonia

Suzana Panova Nikiforova is a visiting Lecturer of Brand Management in the University American College in Skopje, Macedonia. She has introduced this course for the first time in that country and is spreading her rich practical and theoretical knowledge of the subject to the generations of undergraduate and MBA students.

She is a Master of Marketing specialised in the area of Branding. She has just enrolled her PhD in this area and is working on research in the field of institution branding. With the knowledge of EU institutions gained on the master studies finished in Brussels, she is trying to link those two areas and contribute in building the gap in communication strategies of the EU intsitutions by applying the branding concept.

Despite the academic work, Suzana is a business person, actively involved in the marketing and sales business practices. She is currently engaged as an assistant procurator for marketing and commerce of Mercator, the largest FMCG retailer in the Balkans, helping the brand positioning and building the business in Bulgaria. Her deeper knowledge of the Balkan region, where she has actively worked for the past ten years, has been gained through an interactive consulting work for many clients in different fields like fashion, jewellery, lifestyle magasines, telecommunication.

She has been working with many famouse brand names like Dell, Honda, Good Year, Valvoline, Pioneer, Nokia, Ericsson, Tom Tailor, Versace, Morgan, Camper, Etam, also regional once like Gloria, Zlatarna Celje, Triglav insurance and others.

Working with strong brands requires deep knowledge and experience of almost all business processes: sales, marketing, customer relation management, market research, consumer behavior research, integrated communication strategies, thus a rich practical experience form all those fields help her to apply strategic branding concepts and models to different business projects.
